ABOUT US

Enthralled by the flavors of the Pacific Northwest, CraftCadia began as a simple desire to drink great beer and wine. We are dedicated to showcasing the singular experience of the PNW to a global audience. Unusual hop and grape varietals, an uncommon terroir, and unconventional approaches come together to make some of the world’s most exciting and rare spirits.

THE PNW EXPERIENCE

We partner with passionate artisans and small-batch producers who champion quality, environmental stewardship, and guts.

OUR STORY

We’ve long been in the habit of “giving it a shot.” CraftCadia came from a desire to share the unique spirits we love with the broader world. Our customers get a sensory experience of the Pacific Northwest, and of the daring and individuality that makes the producers here so special.

Our strategy is simple: celebrate our local producers in a global marketplace. CraftCadia maintains a hyper-local portfolio of producers that stick to our standards of being fiercely independent, of a unique perspective, and whenever possible, organically farmed. We bring years of logistical expertise to make these small batches affordable and accessible to our buyers by grouping them into container shipments.

THE BEST OF THE BEST

Great relationships are the keystone of our business: our importers get the best of the Pacific Northwest, our artisans enjoy a hugely expanded network of fans.

CRAFTCADIA TEAM

Dustin Wales
Co-Founder, Primary Investor

  • It was — of all things — narwhal behavior that led Dustin to the world of spirits. Formally trained in data analysis and business development, Dustin began his career facilitating ecological excursions by building business cases to fund and profit from research projects. An in-depth knowledge of data analysis plus a budding interest in all things craft beer led Dustin to liquor distribution: alongside his partner Spencer, CraftCadia was born.

Dustin loves people, and loves a good story.

Spencer White
Co-Founder, CEO

  • With a rich background in hospitality, including 7 years as Quality Manager at Aslan Brewing, Spencer is uniquely positioned to understand the impacts of the environment on the end product. An authority on brewing science, Spencer has worked with the American Society of Brewing Chemists to establish standards of quality control, led lab building seminars at the Washington Craft Beer Summit, and regularly assists his industry contemporaries in building their own testing laboratories.

Spencer has traveled across the world connecting with people through food and drink. He continues to quench his wanderlust through the development of CraftCadia.

WHAT WE DO

CraftCadia exists to celebrate and share the spoils of the Pacific Northwest’s prolific craft spirit production.

We designed our business model with access and affordability in mind: by offering a centralized purchasing model, our buyers are able to access enormous variety — variety that would be cost-prohibitive if pursued on a per-importer basis. By organizing our shipments by container-loads, we are able to offer bespoke combinations to our purchasers.

HOW WE DO IT

Long story short, we take care of it. Once an order is placed, our team works out delivery logistics, certifications, freight forward, import and export documentation, and appropriate labeling at both ends of the shipment process. To guarantee stock position, we employ the Free on Board model of export.

Once the order is placed our team supports overseas importers and distributors by providing virtual tastings, supply promotional materials, and continued support in whichever form requested.
